After breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive of approximately 120 kilometers, taking around 2 to 3 hours to reach Marangu Gate, the main entrance to Mount Kilimanjaro National Park. The journey passes through picturesque Tanzanian countryside, vibrant villages, coffee plantations, banana farms, and fertile agricultural landscapes that thrive on the slopes of the mountain.
Upon arrival at Marangu Gate (1,860 meters above sea level), visitors complete park registration procedures before meeting their professional mountain guide. The hike then begins through the lush rainforest zone, one of the most beautiful sections of Mount Kilimanjaro National Park. The trail gradually ascends through dense tropical forest characterized by towering podocarpus trees, giant ferns, moss-covered trunks, and a rich variety of indigenous vegetation.
