Discover the remarkable contrasts of Tanzania on this carefully designed 15 Days Northern Tanzania Safari, Cultural Tour and Zanzibar Holiday with Kibo Trips African Safaris, based in Arusha, Tanzania.
This immersive journey brings together wildlife, culture, volcanic landscapes, local communities, remote wilderness, and tropical beaches. You will explore Arusha, Tarangire National Park, Mto wa Mbu, Lake Natron, Northern Serengeti, Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and the beautiful island of Zanzibar.
Your adventure begins in Arusha, Tanzania’s safari capital and the gateway to the famous Northern Safari Circuit. A guided city tour introduces you to local markets, cultural centres, Tanzanite, coffee, art, and the everyday rhythm of life beneath Mount Meru.
From Arusha, you will continue to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s finest destinations for elephant viewing. Covering approximately 2,850 square kilometres, Tarangire is known for its ancient baobab trees, permanent river, open savannahs, seasonal swamps, and rich birdlife.
The journey then introduces you to the cultural diversity of Mto wa Mbu, a lively town near Lake Manyara. Here, you will explore local farms, markets, workshops, traditional homes, and community enterprises while learning how different Tanzanian ethnic groups live and work together.
From the green highlands, you will travel into the dramatic Great Rift Valley toward Lake Natron, one of Northern Tanzania’s most remote and striking landscapes. The alkaline lake, volcanic surroundings, flamingos, waterfalls, Maasai communities, and views of Ol Doinyo Lengai create an experience unlike anywhere else on the safari circuit.
Your wildlife adventure continues into Northern Serengeti National Park, a remote region known for rolling hills, river valleys, migration herds, predators, and the famous Mara River. Depending on the season, you may witness large groups of wildebeests and zebras moving across the northern plains.
You will then travel south into Central Serengeti, where permanent water sources, open grasslands, granite kopjes, and acacia woodland support excellent wildlife throughout the year. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, hyenas, and hundreds of bird species may be encountered.
The safari concludes in the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Its grasslands, forests, wetlands, and lakes support a high concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, and the endangered black rhinoceros.
After the safari, you will fly from Arusha to Zanzibar Island, where three relaxing days allow you to enjoy white sand beaches, turquoise water, Swahili culture, historic Stone Town, spice farms, local cuisine, and optional marine adventures.
Throughout the mainland safari, you will travel in a comfortable 4×4 safari Land Cruiser with a pop up roof, guided by an experienced professional from Kibo Trips African Safaris. Carefully selected lodges, personalized service, and authentic Tanzanian hospitality make this journey ideal for couples, families, photographers, solo travellers, and small groups.
